A real website for your business — built before you pay a dime.

I build your site first, using what's already public about your business. You look it over. If you love it, it's live within a week — $499 once, or $0 down. If you don't, you owe nothing.

No templates to learn. No contracts to decode. Your domain stays in your name.

How it works

Three steps. One of them is yours.

Most web designers ask you for a deposit, a questionnaire, and three meetings. I'd rather just show you the site.

1

I build a preview

Using your public info — services, hours, phone, location — I build a complete, working version of your site and send you a private link. It takes me about a day.

2

You look it over

Change anything: photos, wording, colors, what's on the menu. Send me a text or an email with edits, or we talk for ten minutes. No pressure and no bill.

3

It goes live within a week

Once you say go, I connect your domain, hook the contact form to your inbox, and put it online. Then I keep it updated for as long as you want me to.

What's included

Everything a small business site should have. Nothing you have to figure out.

Mobile-first design

Most of your customers will find you on a phone. The site is designed for that first, with a one-tap call button.

Contact form to your inbox

Quote requests and messages arrive as emails you can reply to directly. Spam is filtered before it reaches you.

Map, hours & services

Google Maps directions, your real hours with today highlighted, and a clear rundown of what you do.

Built to be found

Proper titles, descriptions, and business markup so Google understands who you are and where you are. Help claiming your Google Business Profile is included.

Hosting, SSL & security

Fast global hosting and the padlock in the address bar, handled. No hosting bills, no renewals to remember.

Edits whenever you need them

New hours, a new service, a price change, holiday closures — email me and it's done, usually the same day.

Examples

What your site could look like

Six example sites for the kinds of businesses I build for. The businesses are fictional — your preview is built from your real information, the same way. Click any of them to see the full site on your phone or desktop.

Pricing

Two ways to pay. Both are simple.

You don't pay anything until you've seen your finished site and said yes.

Own it

$499 one-time

then $29/month for hosting & care

  • Complete site, built and launched
  • Your domain, registered in your name
  • Hosting, SSL, backups, and security updates
  • Unlimited small edits (hours, prices, photos, text)
  • Cancel the care plan any time — the site is yours

Need more? Extra pages are $75 each (a menu, a full gallery, a jobs page). Online ordering, booking, or e-commerce are quoted separately — ask and I'll tell you honestly whether it's worth it for your business.

About

A local guy, not an agency

Spath Web is run by Robert Spath out of Van Wert, Ohio. I build websites for the businesses I actually drive past — the mechanic, the hardware store, the guy who poured my neighbor's driveway.

Most small-town businesses either have no website, or one that was built in 2009 and hasn't changed since. Meanwhile, customers look everyone up on their phone before they call. My whole job is to close that gap without making it a project for you.

You'll always be dealing with me directly: same phone number, same email, same person.

What I won't do

  • Charge you before you've seen the site
  • Lock you into a platform you can't leave
  • Register your domain in my name
  • Upsell you on things a small business doesn't need
  • Disappear after launch
FAQ

Questions people ask

Who owns the website?

You do. The domain is registered in your name, and if you ever leave, I hand you the complete site files. No hostage situations.

I already have a website. Can you replace it?

Yes — that's most of what I do. I'll build the new version alongside the old one, and when you approve it, we switch your domain over. Your old site stays up until the new one is live, so there's no gap.

Can I make changes myself?

You can, but you don't have to. Most owners just email or text me the change and it's live within a day. That's what the monthly care plan is for.

What about email addresses at my domain?

I can set up you@yourbusiness.com through Google Workspace or a free option, depending on what you need. Ask and I'll walk you through it.

What if I stop paying the monthly fee?

On the Own-it plan, you can stop any time; the site stays yours and I'll give you the files to host elsewhere. On the $0-down plan, the minimum is 12 months, then the same applies.

Do you do online stores, booking, or menus with ordering?

Menus, galleries, and extra pages, yes. Full online ordering or e-commerce is a bigger build — I'll quote it separately, and if a tool like Square or Toast already does it well for you, I'll say so and link to it instead.

How did you build a preview of my business without talking to me?

From information you've already made public — your listing, your current site, your hours and services. Nothing on a preview is live or visible to the public; it's a private link just for you, and anything on it can be changed or removed.

Want to see what your site could look like?

Send me your business name and I'll build a preview and send you the link. No cost, no obligation, no sales call unless you want one.
